FAQ on repository trial operations

1. Installing test version of “Louch” software on the computer with main “Louch” software version
2. Using different cryptographic keys for different functions
3. Sending messages to Repository in packets
4. Uninstalling “Louch” software after trial operations
5. Testing after Repository is operational

1. Installing test version of “Louch” software on the computer with main “Louch” software version

“Is it possible to install test version of “Louch” software on the same PC with main “Louch” software version?”

At the moment such action is not advisable due to technical difficulties while updating software.

2. Using different cryptographic keys for different functions

“Is it possible to differentiate custodian and repository activity by using different cryptographic keys?”

It is recommended to differentiate custodian and repository activity by using different PoAs on signing electronic documents in NSD’s electronic document exchange system (EDE system). For Repository trial operations there is no need to issue a Power of Attorney. Since Repository will be operational, it is required to provide NSD with different PoA for repository activities (variant # 8)

3. Sending messages to Repository in packets

“Can packets be used for sending messages to Repository (meaning sending archived messages via “Louch” software to Repository)? What will happen with the package (other messages), if one of the messages will be incorrect?

“Louch” functions provide package data sending (when several archives are sent by single message). If one document is rejected, all others will be executed.

4. Uninstalling “Louch” software after trial operations

“What is recommended for Clients after the end of trial operations: to clear “Louch” database or reinstall “Louch”? And if clearing of database is required, how it is done? Will there be an instruction for this issue?”

Since trial operations are made by separate “Louch” database, it can be deleted. An instruction will be available at NSD’s web-site for this issue after the trial operations.

5. Testing after Repository is operational

“Will it be possible to participate in trial operations when Repository is operational?”

Yes, it will be possible. Testing will be done in separate trial “Louch” server. It will be required to receive test cryptographic keys and to write a letter to NSD with e-mail addresses that will be used for testing.
